Iran and North Korea have made the recent news concerning development of WMD with the capability of unleashing those weapons not only against neighboring countries but also within the borders of the United States. Can we stop other countries from developing weaponry that our country has already developed and stockpiled for intended defensive measures against hostile countries or organizations? Explain.

   What international laws govern such actions by hostile countries, and how are those laws enforced to ensure control of the production of such WMD as well as the actual use of these WMD? How successful have our efforts been toward limiting the efforts of North Korea and Iran in the development and use of these weapons?
