Segmentation: Look at the “Major Segmentation Variables”

Choose ONE of the following questions to answer

1. Segmentation: Look at the “Major Segmentation Variables” (Table 6.1). Pick one brand that you are a consumer of (e.g., Coke, Pepsi, North Face, ESPN, Penn State, etc.). Name and describe in some detail two segmentation variables that are relevant to the marketing of the brand. Demographics is the easiest, so you should only choose that segmentation variable once( or not at all)

2. Positioning: Look up the format of a positioning statement in your textbook (p. 188). Try writing a positioning statement for brand “you” Your target market could be a potential future employer, a potential boyfriend/girlfriend, or anyone you are trying to market to.
