Care and Health Ltd. is a health-care product company which employs about 20 sales employees. It is divided into four sales teams, and each team is led by a sales manager. The main job duties of sales employees include visiting clients and making phone calls to potential clients. The company has been once awarded one of the best employers in town. At the lobby of the company, there is a signboard that says ‘Clients do not come first. Employees come first. If you take care of your employees, they will take care of the clients’. The employees receive good fringe benefits and their pays are also compatible with other similar jobs in the market. Though the pandemic has not affected much on the overall business performance of the company, each sales employee is still required to meet their monthly sales target, and no extra bonus is awarded to recognize those who perform well. Some employees perceive that the promotion opportunities are not transparent to them. Rumours also spread around that one sales manager is particularly in favour of one particular sales team member who always receives special privilege from work. The employees seem to be unhappy as evidenced by the high employee turnover rate. The management board starts to worry about the morale of the employees
