A Management Information System (MIS) is a special kind of work system with many different degrees of overlap and integration possible between an information system and an underlying work system that it supports. Covid-19 has forever changed the MIS work system. Now, every form of enterprise is adopting a work-from-home strategy and making changes to the MIS and the underlying work system to support this strategy. Incorporating perspectives from the following three (3) personas: The CEO of a commercial bakery; a head of department who teaches IT in a secondary school; and a store manager in a supermarket, write an essay of 1500 to 2000 words titled “The impact of work-from-home on MIS work systems” Your essay must meet the following criteria: • A description of an MIS work system, one for each persona, that existed before the covid-19 viral outbreak, and supported an underlying work system. • The economic, managerial, technological and societal issues that each persona must consider when changing MIS within the context of covid-19 and a work-from-home strategy. • A description of the MIS work system after the changes to support a work-from-home strategy, and how it now supports the, possibly updated, underlying work system.
