Students are expected to write a comprehensive summary of the required readings and at least two additional academic sources for one week of their choice (not including Week 1 Introduction). In the discussion of the material, students should demonstrate their understanding of all assigned readings for the week and be able to articulate how they fit together as a theme/topic. They should include the topic themes raised by the articles, the individual articles’ contributions and methodologies employed, discussion questions that arise from the readings, and any practical implications. • Criteria & Marking: • When marking your assignment I will be considering the following criteria: o Do the summaries demonstrate a comprehension of the set of readings including the research questions, key contributions, methodologies employed and key findings? o Does the student raise relevant and thought provoking questions that demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the articles and how they relate to the each other and/or other course material? o Is the summary well written in the student’s own words? Are quotes over used/ too long/ not explained in student’s own words?
