The Panama Papers are 11.5 million leaked documents that detail financial information for more than 214,488 offshore entities. These paper exposed the vast level of corruption in the leadership of many (in fact, nearly all) countries. Nothing seems to have changed since the leak in 2015. Corrupted officials are still ruling, except that now a journalist investigating it was killed by a car bomb last week (16 Oct 2017)

If such a HUGE, MASSIVE, leak achieved no political goal, is hacktivism dead? How, if possible at all, would hacktivism achieve more impact? Or is it best not to do it? Since the original hack was not found, we don’t know the real motivation, if the leak was state-sponsored, is it a type of cyberwar?
