Sales4Oz is a retailer selling a variety of discount products to the general community. The company is long established, with outlets in all Australian states. The company provides catalogues, via mail, to their registered customers.
‘bricks and mortar’ sales have served them well for more than 2 decades.
Indeed, there has been a reluctance to take up online trading, from a variety of stakeholders.
Sale4Oz has recently used a website to promote the business. Catalogues are now available online, new products and promotions are highlighted as well.
While phone and mails orders dominate sales, there is also a limited facility to order online.
Problem Statement
Sales4Oz sees online sales as an important tool in the business operation in the future. At present, few valid orders are placed on the website as the interface is seen to be awkward to use. There are also a large number of invalid orders placed as the present system has no means of preventing this.
This interface will need to be improved in order that Sale4Oz is able to compete in a growing online market.
