Mac vs. Microsoft, which system is more secure?
In today’s online society, so much of our personal, financial, and professional endeavors take place in a digital landscape that the question must be asked, which operating system can best protect me and my information? The current market in terms of private users is almost completely binary. With a very small percentage of outliers running Linux systems, however, the vast majority decide to either pursue Microsoft products or their main competitor, Apple. Various marketing campaigns by Apple have insinuated that their system is more secure, but is it true? Based on the analysis of multiple independent agencies as well as industry professionals, it appears that the issue is not quite as black and white as one would assume. Overall, Macs are far less secure in relation to Windows based systems than people think; system vulnerabilities, for Macs are, in most cases, higher, and poor user habits, as well as, a false perception of security caused by historical trends in malware development based on the number of Macs currently on the market make Apple’s operating system a ticking time bomb for security disaster…
