Activity 3 Project Management
Summarise a recent or current business project (large or small) which you are familiar with (leading or as part of a project team). (Brief context).

b. Describe how you have applied a technique(s) to analyse and resolve a problem during this project (relate a model/theory to your example).

Activity 4 CPD
a. Undertake a self-assessment of HR professional practice capabilities to
identify your continuing professional development needs.
(You could access ‘my CPD map’ and undertake the self-assessment to produce
the evidence – copy and paste your results into an appendix) and discuss findings
in your own words. Justify why your CPD options will best meet your needs.
b. Produce a Professional Development Plan (PDP) which sets out your
professional development options – as outlined in 3.2. You must include a
minimum of three objectives. (your table/plan will not be counted within
the word count).
In six months’ time, you will be asked to reflect on the progress of your
PDP:

Review and reflect on your PDP. Identify what progress you have made at
achieving your goals; what amendments have been made/or will be made to meet
future development needs? You could insert a column within your original PDP to
do this.
Evidence to be produced/required
Activity 1, 2, 3 & 4a & b: A Word document of your responses (3000 words +/-10%)
You should relate academic concepts, theories and professional practice to the task set in a critical and
informed way, and with reference to key texts, articles and other publications and by using practitioner and
professional examples for illustration. All reference sources should be acknowledged correctly and a
bibliography provided where appropriate (these will be excluded from the word count).
Activity 4c: Reflection on your PDP.
Six months after your PDP submission, you are required to submit an amended PDP and highlight the
changes and additions you have made to your PDP in a different font colour.
This will be uploaded to the separate 5DVP 3.3 submission area.
