There are four short answer exercises to be completed (4 x 600 words). Two will relate to mental health and two will relate to child protection.

You are required to submit these short answer exercises within 48 hours of completion of the relevant two day module. You are encouraged to submit the first response (i.e. to the first question) soon after the first day whilst material and discussions are still fresh. The review questions are listed in the course guide and here on Canvas. Your answers should be informed by class discussions, set readings and wider reading, case studies, and role-plays.This assessment task requires you to come to class having read the core readings marked with for each topic and to participate in classroom activities.

Word length: Approximately 600 words – a total of 2,400 words for the four exercises.

Work within ±10% of the set length (i.e., word count). Over this, an extra 10% will be penalized at 10% of the mark for that assignment.

References: minimum of two different substantive references is required for each written exercise and must be listed at the end of each entry as well as a bibliography at the end. Each short answer exercise will be assessed on its own merit.

Each exercise must be correctly labelled with the question that is being answered as the title and your Group i.e. A, B or C. These questions are listed in the course guide under each day of teaching. If you prefer to design your own question, instead of answering the set question, you are welcome to do so. However, please do ensure it is relevant to the content covered that day. This means you will be completing two short answer question exercises for the Child Protectioncomponent of this course and two for the Mental Health component.
