Pages 1-7 are PowerPoint slides (2 slides per Page -> total 14 powerpoint slides).
Structure of Powerpoint slides:
Page 1-6 (12 Powerpoint slides): 1 slide introducing the firm (Adidas) and topic used (External environment); up to 11 slides providing a critical analysis of the strategy, according to your chosen topic, for that firm.
Page 7 (2 PowerPoint slides): Up to two slides providing recommendations and reasoning for recommendations to the firm.
Pages 8-15: A written report section providing your analysis, evidence-base for the presentation (this should support the frameworks, and extend the debate, concepts, theory, or argumentation made in the presentation slides). These pages should include a reference list (compulsory) and may include Appendices (optional). N.b. this section is part of the report and NOT a presentation script, nor presentation notes.
Formatting
• For the written sections, use Arial 11-point font, 1.5 line-spacing, and 2.5 cm margin all around.
• The maximum length of the report is 15 pages.
• Presentation slides should be formatted as 2 per page
• The slides and written notes must be combined into one single PDF file
• Number all pages of the report.
• Follow the structure specified (see above).
• Do not use footnotes.
Additional Comments
➢ You are not expected to give a verbal presentation.
➢ If forms of analysis are put in the appendices, the analysis must be appropriately used in
the slides. Simply leaving the analysis ‘hanging’ in the appendix will not be considered as
‘using’ the analysis.
➢ Theory should be used to inform the critical analysis, provide support for using specific
frameworks and concepts, draw implications, introduce theoretical perspectives, and relate your analysis to your chosen company. Theory is therefore an essential ingredient to produce a high-quality analysis of the firm and topic in question.
➢Theory, frameworks, concepts, examples, etc. need to be integrated within the critical analysis. This should form the basis of your recommendations to the firm.
➢ You can make links to other relevant topics where appropriate.
