For this assessment you will need to:
- Identify an action priority for change towards sustainability in their workplace or home setting. This action priority will be researched, implemented and evaluated over an extended time period. Students are expected to be original in their choices and discussion, demonstrating their understanding of education for sustainability and how to apply it to practice.
The proposal must:
- Identify an action priority for change towards sustainability in your workplace or home setting.
- Provide a justification for selection of the action priority. •
Outline the proposed methods and strategies for implementation of the action priority over a 6-8 weeks period.
- Develop a timeline for completion of the action priority over a 6-8 weeks period.
The written report must include:
Choose a location and complete a sustainability audit of the workplace or home environment using the sustainability audit tool (Community Child Care)
- Introduce your action priority and provide a rationale, which demonstrates your understanding of how your action priority links to education for sustainability and how to apply it to practice.
- Include three (3) pieces of research about the proposed action priority. For each piece of research, provide one (1) paragraph outlining the article and a critical reflection on its linkage to your action priority.
- Reflect on the implementation process over a 6-8-week period.
- Include a final reflection about the implementation of the action priority as a personally transformative process.
- Include a follow-up describing where the project could be taken next
- Include an appropriate reference List and relevant Appendices.
- Interweave theoretical, practical and reflective components and demonstrate understandings of transformative approaches to education for sustainability.
The presentation must:
- Be a digital presentation that provides an overview of your report and the action priority chosen.
- Include a video or time lapse or a slide show of images documenting the progress of the project.
- Be presented face to face during weeks 10-12
