After hearing the challenges in the world of auctions discussed by the CEO of Leonard Joel, the group should meet and divide their research load and each team member select an area of focus. For example, after discussing areas of focus for the team, Rajesh might agree to research online auctions, Maya may agree to research luxury auctions and Jai Ho might focus on innovative new areas of auction. Thus, the group covers a broad area of research by collaborating.
Individually, you will be required to conduct a SWOT analysis of 1500 words based on your research. Your area of focus is the world of auctions, both online and physical, to identify industry strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats facing this industry sector both in Australia and abroad. You may select an area of focus within this context to perform a targeted SWOT analysis.
A brief introduction of no more than 150 words is required to make it clear what you focus area of research is and a conclusion also of 150 words to sum up your findings.
A reference list will be supplied on Canvas to all students as a starting point – it will be expected that students demonstrate use of this reference list as well as references which reflect further individual research beyond that list.
