I was asked to complete a lighting project for interior design major

I will do by myself the part of sketchUp, hand drafting sketches or CAD but I will need you to keep me updated with everything you do step by step because the teacher ask me every class to see where am I atAlso to design by using sketchup based on what you wrote.
this is the requirement of the assigment
*For this assignment we are going to talk about

1- Identifyyour project: what is the concept that will allow you to argument and develop your project? (What is your project about?, what do you want to achieve? Which are your goals?)

2- Research: you are going to collect data and information in order to understand and therefore develop your project and the lighting that you are going to use.

3- Then, develop your project, a program and layout, dealing with relationships between your space and lighting.

I will be designing a lobby of boutique hotel and I want the main concept to be about the Japanese style but in modern wayfor example the concept will be in translucity, how they center the space, how they like to relate there design to nature>extrapolate> sustainibility
