You have read articles that present different perspectives on this topic. What questions do they raise? Is there one article that you think presents a viewpoint more valid than that of other articles? More controversial? Remember, an expository essay is informational, not an argument or judgment essay, so personal opinions are irrelevant. Select a prompt from one of the two below for your essay.
- Looking at the arguments presented in our class readings and the videos we watched, compare and contrast the arguments we have seen for/against eating animals.
- The conversation about eating animals can be a contentious one. It can be difficult for people with different opinions to see the other side in an unbiased way. Write an expository explanation essay describing the opposite side. If you eat meat, explain why someone would want to give up meat. If you are someone who does not eat meat, explain why someone would want to eat meat. Be sure to use the information from our readings/videos watched.
