I don’t want an essay, I want an essay plan (outline) please follow the instructions that I’m going to include here.

You will have the opportunity to submit an essay plan for evaluation prior to submitting your final
completed essay. This plan will follow a specific structure shown to you during your lectures and tutorials.
Your preliminary plan will include:
1. An introductory paragraph to your essay, including an argumentative thesis statement.
2. Three topic sentences to introduce the key ideas for planned paragraphs within your essay; these
sentences must include in-text references to acknowledge the scholarly literature that informed
them.
3. Two correctly cited end-text references (using APA/ECU conventions) from current (no older than
2010), scholarly literature. You will need to provide a brief explanation for each of your selected
resources. Your explanations should include:
• a short summary of the article (1-2 sentences), and
• a brief description of how the article will support your argument/thesis statement (1-2
sentences).
