Two concrete beams (length L1 and L2) of 300 mm width and 500 mm depth is cast with span
length as shown in the figure below. Determine the displacements at the mid-span and at the tip of
the cantilever along the axis of the beams. Model the beams in ABAQUS with 1D beam elements and
2D plane stress elements. Use three different meshes and compare the results.
