Abstract
This paper will explore some of the reasons it is a good business practice to have a green supply chain. Green technologies have helped to reduce the amount of energy consumed by the supply chain. LED lighting in a warehouse will be explored. Some green innovations such as packaging may not be well received at first, but can be overcome with additional research and feedback from the consumer. In order to develop green technologies that will benefit both the supplier and supply chain, collaboration will be necessary. An example of Walmart and truck manufacturers will be analyzed to help prove this point. It will be discovered that companies may need to invest some money up front, but the investment will pay off in the long run. Creating a green supply chain is beneficial to both the company and the environment.
