This assignment is intended to allow you to demonstrate your understanding of the lectures and ability to develop a digital business proposal.
Consider the initiation of a new digital business or the conversion of a traditional one in Sub-Saharan Africa (you may assume any existing traditional business for conversion or a new digital business entity). Consider also that you are called upon as an MIS professional to partake in the digital business initiation or conversion.
Content guidelines
Your task is to develop a digital business (initiation or conversion) proposal that will inform the Chief Executive Officer about how to accomplish this digital business venture. Your proposal should provide detailed information about the application of digital technology and media to gain or improve competitiveness through optimization of internal and external processes.
Your proposal should the present analysis of the following, drawing upon relevant literature:
· Online market
· Digital infrastructure
· Electronic environment
· Business Strategy
· Electronic procurement
· Supply Chain Management
Based on the analysis, your model proposal should also present statements/descriptions (with justifications) of:
· vision, mission, and objectives
· value proposition
· delivery channels
· customer relationships
· intermediaries (search, aggregators, affiliates, influencers)
· relevant platform, applications, and communications infrastructure
· supply chain management systems
· implementation (digital marketing, customer relationship management, etc)
You must state and explain the assumptions underpinning your justifications. Remember that whatever assumptions you present will apply to your digital business model from conception to development; and so, you should think systemically/holistically about
them. Your proposal should have a realistic composition in terms of name, assumptions, examples, scenarios, and references to historical or current situations in Sub-Saharan Africa.
