Two of the nurses (Mary and Tom) at Riverview UCC have decided to work part time rather than their previous full-time schedule. Each prefers to work only two (consecutive) days per week. Once they become part-time employees, salary and benefits per nurse-day for these nurses will be re duced to $160 on weekdays and $220 on weekend days. Considering this savings, Riverview UCC can hire an additional full-time nurse if needed. Should Riverview UCC agree to the two nurses’ request? If the clinic agrees, will additional nurses need to be hired?
