At this stage no warnings have been issued. The 30 day period Robert was given under the PIP is now over.
It is company policy to provide employees about to be subject to the formal disciplinary process a written report outlining the situation, the process and reasons for it being invoked. This is to be presented to Robert during a formal meeting you have scheduled with him next week .You have now been asked to produce the following;
1. A formal disciplinary action report for Robert. In which you will include the following:
A summary of the reason for the report being produced
A summary of the actions taken to date
Explain the legal process which will now be put in place (in accordance with New Zealand Employment law requirements) including timeframes
Explain the staff member’s rights under this process (in accordance with New Zealand Employment law requirements) including timeframes
Outline support options available to the staff member
As a formal document you have been advised care and accuracy must be taken in the presentation and construction of this report.
