CLASSMATE’S POST
I think that the United States should continue the employ -offered health care program being that the employee is performing the service for that individual company. Such as my profession of being a firefighter, I am risking my life and health for my employer and not the United States. The more the employer invests in the employee the more valuable that person is to the company. The majority of health care cost is due to the age population and those who have never really held any measurable employment and have become liabilities to the government. Again, in my profession after retirement you are required to enroll in Medicare, which is sponsored by the government. The government should not have to totally foot the bill of those who has chosen not to contribute to the system.
