Choose one of the following Australian business organisations which has recently been experiencing significant change (refer page 5 for sources to help make this choice): • Myer; OR • QANTAS; OR • RioTinto; OR • Virgin Airlines; OR • Target Produce a case study report about your chosen organisation in which you use relevant change management theory and concepts, empirical research literature plus non-academic business resources to: 1. Provide a descriptive profile of the organisation; 2. Describe and critically analyse (using change management theory and concepts): a. the organisation’s environment framework; b. the organisation’s key internal and external drivers of change; c. three or more change interventions (being) implemented: the strategies and change processes adopted, resistance encountered and results envisaged and/or achieved; 3. Make specific recommendations for ongoing change management within the organisation Taking on the role of an OD external consultant, deliver and oral presentation with the aid of a management consultant style slide deck to key organisations stakeholders (the BEX206 class): • Present your external analysis and diagnosis of the current situation; • Provide recommendations of a change management plan (ensure your plan is based on change management theory and concepts); It is not compulsory to submit or to pass either the Progress Report or Final Report. However, in order to pass this unit, students must achieve a final score of at least 50 out of the total 100 assessment marks available to them. Any student who chooses not to submit either report will forfeit those marks. Any student who chooses not to submit both reports will not have their exam score amortised into a final result for the unit. Therefore all students are strongly advised to submit both reports, completed to the best of their ability.
