You need to perform a study on a contemporary topic in supply chain risk management. This assignment is designed to foster students’ understanding of contemporary supply chain risk management concepts. This is achieved by asking students to conduct a thematic analysis on a supply chain risk management topic from the academic literature. Emphasis is placed on identifying unique and related themes surrounding the allocated topic based on the papers reviewed. You also need to consider the ethical and social responsibility aspects in risk management.
Students are required to review at least15academic journal articles in an area of supply chain risk management to identify the major themes. The identified themes need to be analysed and presented in a report of around 2500 words along with a Thematic Analysis Table. The word count excludes tables, figures, and list of references used. We are looking for a creative report for this assessment.

The project report should consist of following sections:
- Introduction
- Literature review
- Analysis
- Ethical and social responsibility for risk management
- Future research direction and conclusion
- References
1) Introduction
The introduction includes the background and rationale of the research. You should also explain the selected supply chain risk management topic and why this topic is important in supply chain risk management. What are you going to do in this research report? How this paper has been organised?
2) Literature review
Here you should identify the most relevant papers (at least 15) from the literature for your topic. You should develop a story for the topic to understand the research progress. You also explain the contribution and limitations of those studies. You should present the Thematic Analysis Table (sample shown in Table 1), which will reflect the summary of the contributions of previous studies within the topic. You should explain the Thematic Analysis Table.

Number | Author | Year | Journal name | Contribution | Method | Findings | Context (industry/ Country) |
Limitation |
1 | ||||||||
2 | ||||||||

3) Analysis
You should analyse the papers quantitatively here. You can analyse the papers again with some other parameters (such as journal name, author name, publish year, methodology, context and so on). You should use some graphs and a table to describe your findings. You should explain the insight of your analysis.
4) Ethical and social responsibility for risk management
In this section, you focus on ethical and social risks in the business. You should study some relevant journal papers (at least 5) from the literature which consider ethical and social responsibility aspects in risk management. You should answer the following questions.
What are the ethical responsibility principles in risk management?
What are the social responsibility practices in risk management?
What are the frameworks applied for business practice in terms of ethical and social responsibility?
5) Future research direction and conclusion
In this section, you should summarise the literature review and findings. You should also summarise the contribution and research gaps of previous studies. Based on those research gaps, you should suggest the future research direction. The future research direction should be feasible and reflect the research gaps of previous studies.
6) References
The project is directed at the collection and analysis of information, if you use material from another source then references it properly. You should cite at least 20 (15+5) references from academic journals in your assignment. The reference and citation style should be uniform across the report and you must follow Harvard reference style
