This is a full-time, ongoing position with career development opportunities. External recruitment is necessary; as no internal candidates have been found suitable or available for the position (its current employees in Queensland think Tasmania is just too cold). It is desirable to have the new manager commence within 9 weeks, if possible. The aim is to allow the new appointee to receive a full induction into the organisation, and to participate in the recruitment of new store employees.

You are the new HR Manager for OzStyle4U. The firm’s owners have decided that recruitment will continue to be undertaken in-house by the HR Manager (i.e. you) under your direction. External recruitment agencies are not and will not be used because the budget needed to engage external consultants/agents is being spent on your salary. You are expensive.

In your role as HR Manager for OzStyle4U, you have been requested to provide a report or conduct a presentation for the owners, to describe and justify a recruitment and selection plan for the hiring of the Store Manager – Hobart. See ‘Specific requirements’ below for details.
