Assignment instructions
? For this assignment, students should analyse the given case using theories and analytical tools relevant to the case (average word count: 3,500 words; maximum 4,000 words excluding Cover Page, Executive Summary, Table of Contents, References, and Appendices). The report needs to detail the analysis of the chosen case study, and you have to provide justifications and references to support your statements.
Students need to address the following areas:
-Executive Summary (200 word)
-The external environment using relevant strategic management concepts (470 word).
-The internal environment using relevant strategic management concepts (470 word).
-SWOT analysis (can be placed in the Appendix in the written report) (450 word)
-Business-level strategy (470 word).
-Corporate-level strategy (470 word).
-Merger and acquisition strategies (470 word)
-Cooperative strategy (470 word)
-International strategy. (470 word)
? Students are expected to analyse and review relevant theories and concepts. It is important to analyse the external and internal environments of the organisation and the strategic management concepts applicable to the particular organisation. Students need to demonstrate their critical analysis in putting all the information together and analysing the issues using theories and concepts. Whilst the case is not exhaustingly extensive (just like in a real-world situation where information is obscure at times), students are expected to find out about the organisation, its environments and its strategies from reading a variety of sources.
