Aim:
The aim of the assignment is to give you the opportunity to demonstrate your research skills in the area of a literature review, and your ability to identify and critically evaluate findings. Your research provides the evidence to support your argument on the topic and your sources must be relevant, current and reliable.
Discuss (compare and contrast) academic literature on the topic of managing internationally.
Include critique on Hofstede’s model as asserted by McSweeney and the counter critiques by Hofstede referring to these articles and other more recent (2008 and later) literature, evidence and explanations you have gathered.
Evaluate the implications of using a model like that of Hofstede’s for cross-cultural research and what future research might be carried out regarding the topic using the article by Williamson and other literature, as well as evidence and explanations you have gathered.
This assignment requires you to discuss at least five literary sources – academic articles, book chapters etc.
Make sure that you cite the sources of material that you use and provide a full References list at the end.
Structure your assignment as a coherent discussion in the style of a Literature Review – with necessary sub-headings.
Remember that we are not interested in your opinions/beliefs per se but in those of the authors of the different articles and books you have read.
Include a Response to Formative Feedback form as an Appendix (after the References). There are 5 marks for this. Can you please use 3 reference from the articles which i sent and for the test 3 references you can use any book or etc.
