Due date: Posts 1, 2 & 3 to be shared on discussion forums over weeks 1-7. Posts 1, 2 & 3 to be submitted on the LEO campus tile via Turnitin before Week 7, Wednesday 9 th of September at 1300 hours (1 pm). Weighting: 50% Length and/or format: This assessment is composed of 3 posts. You are required to answer the question at the end of each online module and post your answers (with supporting references) on your tutorial discussion forum over weeks 1-7. Each answer has a word limit of 300 words (+/- 10%) (total = 900 words). Post 1, 2 & 3 must then be submitted via Turnitin (with screenshot evidence of forum posts) by the due date. Multiple submissions can be made up until the due date for the assessment (please note that there can be a 24-48 hour lock out period between each submission). Resubmissions are NOT permitted after the due date. Purpose: Each part of this assessment poses a question that will prepare the student for transition from student to graduate Registered Nurse. The use of a forum has been chosen to encourage interaction, reflection and feedback from peers. Assessment Task: Discussion forum posts addressing the transition from student to Graduate Registered Nurse: Post 1. Identify one (1) issue you expect to experience in your transition from student to graduate nurse. Using evidence-based literature, construct two (2) strategies which you could implement to address the identified issue (LO3 & LO4). Post 2. Outline 2 of the key differences between your current role as student nurse and your future role as Graduate RN. Support your discussion with evidence-based literature (LO1 & LO2). Post 3. Access current research publications from CINAHL and critically reflect on the potential of social media to transform your future practice as a professional practitioner (LO5 & LO6). Learning outcomes assessed: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 How to submit: Students must post their answers on the relevant forum and then submit a copy of their posts (all 3 in 1 document) via Turnitin on LEO. A screenshot of evidence of the 3 posts (from the Discussion Forum) should be included in the same document. Return of assignment: Grades and feedback will be made available through Turnitin in accordance with ACU policy. Assessment criteria: The criterion referenced rubric on page 12 should be used to guide your writing. This rubric will also form the basis of your feedback for this assessment item. Please note that a component of this rubric includes evidence of participation.
