This will be a cross-sectional online anonymous survey of licensed nursing home administrators in Massachusetts. The survey will measure demographics, Role overload, Intention to turnover, leadership style, and burnout. Bivariate and multivariate analysis will be conducted to answer the research questions and hypotheses. This research method and design is aligned with current studies of licensed nursing home administrators (Wilson, 2018). Use of the instruments and questions to measure burnout and leadership styles are commonly done in online surveys of healthcare provider populations (Guo et al., 2019; Wilson, 2018). The instruments can be administered using paper administration, but this can reduce response rate (Schwendimann et al., 2016). Population and Sample The addresses and phone numbers of all Nursing homes in Massachusetts are publicly available on the state government web site (Mass.gov, 2020). The researcher will contact each location by phone, explain the study, and try to get the contact e-mail address for the LNHA at the location. If the researcher is successful, then he will then administer the survey by an e-mail link. The power analysis is utilized to describe the population and the sample used in the research.
