For this discussion, I would like you to contemplate the various types of contractual relationships you have formed over the past few (or many) years. What aspects of contract law that we are studying have come to mind over the course of these contractual relationships? For example, one type of contract relationship many of us are bound to is a cell phone contract. Students have shared quite a bit about this type of contract over the last few quarters – I am sure some of you could share on this topic as well – but, let’s not limit ourselves. Think creatively about your contractual relationships (housing, employment, purchases, service) and ask some of the following questions:
1. Did you willingly enter into the contract?
2. Were you satisfied with the terms?
3. Are you good at bargaining for better terms in a contract?
4. Have you ever felt cheated in a contractual relationship?
5. What are the most common types of business contracts?
These are but a few questions you could discuss here. Again, feel free to be creative and branch off on this topic and take it into other directions.
