Your discussion must include how the global community has reacted or is reacting to the issue or the various global perspectives on the issue. Although not necessary, it may be interesting to examine a controversial global issue.
For ideas on issues, you may want to scan social media, newspapers, magazines, journals and other media outlets to see what global issues are currently trending.
To guide your choice of issue, it might help you to think about the social, cultural, political or economic significance or relevance of the issue. Some questions to guide your thinking in choosing an issue are:
- What is the obvious global character of the issue?
- Why do you think the issue is important for the global community?
- What specific practical implications does the issue have for the global community?
- How is the global discussion on the issue affecting global relations?
