Week 2: Do a little research and find an example of where HRM strategy is well aligned with corporate strategy. Explain how the HRM strategy supports corporate initiatives
I always admired Goggle. Google has always remained one of the top-ranked companies to work for. Google is one of the companies were HRM strategy is well aligned with their corporate strategy. A few examples include how Google values diversity. Googles go out of their way of making their workplace an EEO environment Google HRM is improving their job searches to reach the best talent. How are they doing this? Google is including veterans in their HRM and business strategy process. Google’s business strategy is being able to help be a bridge between military and civilian job languages and to work closely with veterans to use their transferable skills to match up with their own talent base. Another way that Google HRM strategy aligns with its business strategy is that Google strongly believes in talent development. Google strives on seeing its employees reach their full potential. Google creates a world were its employees to be creative and allow them to develop their skills to be able to move forward in the company. Lastly, where Google HRM strategy aligns with their business strategy is how much they invest in their employees. The employee benefits are like no other employee benefits. Just to name a few: free food, free onsite gym/gym classes, excellent paternity/maternity leave, massage therapist and much much more. These employee benefits are a way to attract talent and also keep the top talent employees they already have.
