1. In Levine’s article, Listening with spirit and the art of dialog,he suggests that perhaps most important for our purpose of establishing a connection between listening and dialogue is the striking similarity between this notion of allowing the spirit of the group to speak and Peter Senge’s description of team dialogue. From Levine’s research, what were the major findings related to dialog, discussion, and listening? How do these finding relate to organizations, teams/groups, and just as important, individuals? Explain how you (as a member of your newly-formed group in this class) can apply these findings to improve your skill in dialog and listening to help your group work more effectively.
2. Research indicates that there is significant value in diversity in teams or groups; however, diverse teams or groups face many challenges, as well. Once you have read the articles related to diversity in teams or groups (see Week 2 Reading List), discuss the value of having a diverse team and the challenges that teams or groups must overcome to achieve their goals and objectives. In your response, provide an example of a team or group of which you were a member, the challenges your group faced, and how your group overcame these challenges.
