In Assessment 2 (worth 40%) students will submit Part 2 of their research proposal. Part 2 will include an overview, a description of the specific intervention to be evaluated, research questions and hypotheses, research/evaluation design as well as methods and analysis. Specific criteria are outlined below (see attached criteria sheet). Topic: Examples of these types of questions could include: 1. Is ticketing for public nuisance offending a cost-effective alternative for the police? 2. What are the effects of long-term incarceration on offenders? 3. Are vulnerable groups over-represented as offenders arrested by the police? 4. Is youth violent crime increasing? or Why do governments implement and uphold policies or programs that are proven to be ineffective?
