Contemporary Management Control System Evaluation, Design and Justification
The primary objective of this assignment is for students to demonstrate and apply knowledge of the theories and practices required to effectively manage resources for successful implementation of organisational strategies. Using their workplace1 as the subject, students are to devise a contemporary management control system, that comprehensively optimises the planning and controlling of their organisation’s resources for long-term business sustainability and the achievement of the firm’s strategic objectives. In doing so, students are required to compare and contrast alternative management control systems. Justification for the design of their recommended management control system is required.
Secondary objectives are for students to demonstrate cognitive skills of knowledge, understanding, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation. Further objectives for this assignment are for students to demonstrate their business reporting skills, including clarity of writing, proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

• Carefully review Chapter 17 of your text and other material covered in this course.
• Consider reading other reference material.
• The business report word limit is 5,000 (+/- 10% tolerance), excluding executive summary, contents page, appendices, and references pages.
• Your report must be written in Word (do not convert to a pdf) and uploaded to SafeAssign or Turnitin via iLearn for a plagiarism check. If submission to the plagiarism checking portal is without problems, no further submission of your report is required. No hard copies are required.
