This is an individual task. Each student will write a critical reflection on the learning experience from their Group Project. You should reflect on your learning experience from your group project under the five topics. These topics are briefly elaborated below.
Topic 1 – Leveraging group member skills: Recognising and capitalising on skills of group members. (Approximately 170 words)
• Briefly discuss whether your group was able to identify the main skills of the group members
• Please discuss whether your group was able to properly utilise the identified skills of the group members
• Briefly discuss what factors encouraged or hindered in identifying and capitalising group members’ skills.
Topic 2 – Time management: Effective time management of group activities. (Approximately 170 words)
• Discuss whether your group members were able to complete the assigned tasks timely
• Discuss whether you used any techniques and mechanisms (e.g., setting priorities and deadlines, regular follow-up, etc.) for encouraging group members to complete their tasks in a timely manner.
• Discuss whether there were any specific barriers you or your group members faced in meeting the deadlines, and if so how you or your members overcame them.
Topic 3 – Values: Recognising and respecting the diversity of values and the experience of group members. (Approximately 170 words)
• Discuss whether there was any diversity among the group members in terms of their socio cultural aspects
• How did you and your group members respect those socio cultural differences?
• Did you notice any effect of this diversity on the performance of your group, if so how did you manage it?
Topic 4 – Working cooperatively: Understanding the complexity of working effectively in groups.
(Approximately 170 words)
• Discuss whether you were able to work cooperatively with other members in the group and whether your group members had mutual understanding of each other.
• Did you and your members had adequate interpersonal skills to work cooperatively in group?
• Did you notice any factor that affected your group cooperation, if so how did you manage to overcome it?
Topic 5 – Conflict resolution: Ability to monitor and resolve group conflict (Approximately 170 words)
• Explain whether your group had any conflicts when working on this report, if so please explain one such incident.
• Discuss how your group resolved it.
• Please indicate what you learned from this exercise.
Conclusions: (Approximately 150 words)
• What are your key learnings from working together as a group for this Group Project?
• Give some suggestions as to how you can improve your group performance in the future.
