Task

Before you begin this task, you will need to read the resource ‘Courageous Conversations Guide’ under ‘Learning Content and Activities’.

The assessment asks you to complete three tasks:

    1. Write a reflective account of an incident when you experienced discomfort due to difference in your own work and/or personal experiences
    2. Undertake a courageous conversation with a colleague or critical friend about this incident. Write notes about your conversation identifying the underlying assumptions, biases, values and perspectives that both of you hold; the emotional experience or connection that was created; and the agreements, if any, that you both made
    3. In your final account, discuss what you learned from this experience in relation to your leadership practice

LO 2. be able to critically engage in discussions about difference and how it constructs opportunities and limitations in the practice of leadership;
