Essay
Drawing on relevant research, individually, you are to write an essay of 2000 words (+/-10%) considering emerging, interactive technologies that UX designers could exploit to bring benefits to their clients. Reference appropriately.
Recommended Structure:
1. Brief introduction (up to 200 words)
2. Summarise and critically review (compare and contrast) chosen research concerned with emerging, interactive technologies (up to 1000 words)
• You should employ proper in-text citation format – see point 5 below
3. Reflect on possible application of these in your own design practice (up to 600 words)
• Reflect on how you have used relevant technologies in your own design practice at University, or in professional experience
• You may include specific examples
4. Brief conclusion (around 200 words)
5. References/Bibliography (not part of word count)

As a member of a two-person group, you have been tasked to plan, design, prototype and evaluate ONE of following concepts:
A service including self-diagnosis and treatment recommendation system for minor health problems or wellbeing improvement.
A service including educational experience, involving AR technology concepts that allows the user to interact with game sprites.
A service including sustainable domestic carrier management system, to reduce individual car consumption and to complement existing public transport services.
A service including complex systems of your own choice.
Groups, Responsibilities and Group Assessment
A group will consist of two (or 3) people and will be designated a group identifier by the tutor.
Each group is required to:
• Project planning
• Research, implement, test, and evaluate in a systematic manner a user interface to a given brief and project schedule
• Design a service relevant to your product
• Demonstrate the project
• Provide a detailed documentation, including breakdown of individual contributions
Each group is responsible for:
• Attending regular meetings
• Managing their work to ensure that the finished project is delivered on time and to the required specification
• Ensuring that members contribute
