Consider four different project proposals given to the State Waterworks Agency (SWA), which they will evaluate and decide on one for further analysis. The criteria the SWA employs in this initial assessment process together with their weights and the corresponding values of the individual projects for these criteria are given in the following Table.
Impact on environment is expressed on scale of [1,100] with higher values indicating less damage on environment. Availability of credit is represented through subjective measures in the range [0,1], where higher values imply higher probability of securing the credit. Amount of electricity generated is expressed in MW and amount of land irrigated in ha. Cost of proposal is expressed in million $.
