Compose a magazine article about a topic of interest to you concerning long-term urban/regional strategic planning issues in your hometown. Your article should be written as if it will be submitted to an urban land or planning magazine such as Planning or Urbanland. Be sure to include the following components:
- Analyze the problem’s political, economic, and social issues.
- Examine the administrative response and the establishment of an agenda for priorities.
- Critique the frequency of updates of the planning documents and to related processes.
- Determine if there is a regular body convened to authorize and approve the planning process or if it is purely administrative, and then summarize your views concerning the relative merits and weaknesses of either approach.
Support your article with a minimum of five scholarly resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included.
