Plastic Surgery (Cosmetic)
II. Introduction
● General Purpose: To persuade audience why you should not perform plastic surgery. ● Attention Seek: Do you ever feel ugly? Or you ever feel I wish my eyes are bigger or my
chin is slimmer…Than you look up ways to achieve your goal and there are tons of ways but the one that shows result the best the fastest is plastic surgery. Then you start to think about it. Should I? Well, you don’t have to answer me right now. After hearing me talk, you can answer me.
II. Body
A. What is plastic surgery?
● Plastic surgery has two type. One is cosmetic surgery and other is reconstructive plastic surgery. We will focus on cosmetic surgery. Cosmetic surgery is concerned with improving the aesthetic appearance of a person.
B. Reasons
● Beaty ● Jobs requirement ● Feeling more confidence
C. Statics
● By Dittmann, a recent study shows that the suicide rate of plastic surgery patients is two or three times greater than that of other people.
● In the United States, there are 14.6 million cosmetic plastic surgeries completed every year.
● Botox procedures accounted for nearly 50% of all cosmetic surgery, up 8% from the year before.
● In the last year, there were 1.1 million laser hair removal procedures completed. ● Nearly 21,000 male breast reductions last year up 5% from the year before.
● One of the biggest risks or cosmetic surgery is to not drink enough water daily for having the procedure completed. Patients should be drinking for 288 ounce glasses of water every day depending on their diet.
D. The effect
● Expensive ● Risking your life ● It’s not permanent ● Beauty is natural ● Everything is fake ● Infection can occur (often more than we think) ● Time consuming ● The place perform surgery can’t be touch harshly or it will be ruin.
F. Other ways to improve our look
1. Makeup ● Double eyelid: eyelid tape ● Fuller lips: use lip liner and draw line above the lips line ● Slimmer chin, nose, cheekbones: contour ● And many more 1. Skincare ● Good skin always score point ● Smooth skin give good impression 1. Using old tricks ● Want longer legs: wear shorts and high heels (it give us longer looking) ● Want to look slimmer: wear stripes ● Big thighs: wear skirt or dress to cover it ● Small boobs: wear big clothes or use push up bra ● There are so many tricks to improve our looks that required surgery
III. Conclusion
● There are many ways to make ourselves look beautiful. Surgery is not the only way. Surgery is a life saver to who is suffering from an accident and lost their normal face shape. Some people lose part of their faces during the tragic accident, and they really need the surgery to get back to their daily life. If you look absolutely normal, you should feel be happy and lucky that you are normal. You might feel you not beautiful, you
compare yourself to model on the magazines or pop stars. They are using makeup too. And all the photos you are looking at it been touch by photoshop and tons of filters. There are always makeup and tips for you to look better, and don’t be ashamed if you want to look more beautiful. You are beautiful as you are, but with a touch of makeup you are powerful and queen of your life. So, I want to tattoo this to your brain “You are beautiful, love myself, and love yourself!”
