Purpose:As well as developing an understanding of the topic, this task is designed to develop a set of academic skills including searching for, reading, and analysing academic and professional literature, developing an informed response to a particular topic, applying a report structure to your writing, and using a particular referencing citation system.

Task: You are required to write an report on the following topic.

Topic: You are a business consultant preparing a report for the senior management of a large company who are facing challenges with managing the generational diversity of their employees. The focus of the report is on the benefits and challenges of managing generational diversity in the workplace, and ways that managers can better manage this diversity to increase organisational effectiveness.

Requirements: Your report will be required to cover the following elements.

1.Identify at least three ‘managing people’ issues that are raised by the diverse generational characteristics of employees.

2.With each issue, provide

  1. A critical analysis of the literature on the issue
  2. Challenges that your analysis raises for managers when managing diverse cohorts of people
  3. Solutions (immediate, medium term, and long term) that managers can implement to overcome the problems you have identified.
  4. Your report should conclude with a summary statement of key learnings that has arisen from the report.

5. STRUCTURE AND STYLE: Report structure with headings and sub-headings + Clear and concise writing style, correct spelling and grammar
