Purpose:

The purpose of this assignment is for the student to demonstrate the ability to:

• Identify a vulnerable global population
• Present relevant statistics/data that demonstrate existence of a population-level health disparity
• Describe the impact that relevant social, environmental, economic and or cultural issues have on the health of a population.
• Propose recommendations that are aimed at making a difference for a specific vulnerable population.

Instructions:

• From a global health perspective, identify a vulnerable global population.
• Using diverse global health resources, research relevant assessment data about the vulnerable population.
• Frame the needs and health disparities within the population in relation to the applicable Sustainable Development Goals (2015), and the impact of unique social, environmental, economic and cultural conditions.
• Propose at least two (2) population- focused interventions/ recommendations to impact the health of the vulnerable population.
• Identify a decision-making audience to whom you might bring this presentation.
• Through your presentation, aim to secure the support of your target audience.
• Share via Blackboard, a creatively designed visual presentation that allows summarization of overall findings and concerns for this population, assessment data and interventions.
• View and provide feedback for all of the other student presentations.
