The purpose of the Discussion Board is to allow students to learn through sharing ideas and experiences as they relate to course content and the DB question. Because it is not possible to engage in two-way dialogue after a conversation has ended, no posts to the DB will be accepted after the end of each unit.
- Think of your current employer (or a company you are familiar with) in terms of lean operations.
- List and evaluate the types of lean techniques and concepts that are currently being employed by this company.
- Do you feel that this company is successfully implementing these lean operations concepts? If so, why? If not, why not?
- Choose a new lean technology that you would like to implement in this company. Justify how this technology would benefit the company. Should it replace one of the existing technologies?
