For this response, you will be arguing one side on an argumentative, controversial topic. You must choose a side to argue; you may not be on the fence and give both sides of the argument.
Before writing, read both of the following two articles to determine your viewpoint on the topic of cursive writing in schools:

Other requirements
Your response must be one paragraph and be detailed with specific reasons and examples that support your stance. You will need to cite your source three times, using a combination of direct quotation and paraphrase. In-text citations (in correct MLA format) and signal phrases are required for all quoted and paraphrased material, as well.
The response must also have a Work Cited entry for your chosen source. Please include this Work Cited entry at the end of the document.
Your post should be submitted as a Word document. Use MLA formatting and include a title. Your response must be a minimum of 300 words and a maximum of 350 words. There will be a one-fourth point deduction for each word under 300 and/or over 350. The header, title, and Work Cited entry are not included in the word count. Grading will be assessed according to the associated rubric.
