DIRECTIONS: You must read the short story, “The Lottery” by Shirley Jackson, you can find the short story under the <Pages> tab, or simply look to the right of your screen and you will see a link that says, “The short story, “The Lottery” by Shirley Jackson.  After you read the short story, you must answer the questions that will be attached below.  You MUST type out the questions and answer them in paragraph format (no more than 5 to 8 sentences).  Therefore, all of your answers must run at least one paragraph long.  Attached you will also see a sample heading sheet, so you will know how to head your paper.  Remember, all of your work must be typed, double-spaced, Arial OR Times New Roman, and 11 or 12 point font size.  Here are your attachments:
