| You will be sorted in groups of 3-4 students to create Powerpoint slides that summarize and assess an article from the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. As a group, you will choose an article from UNDRIP. Your group’s slides should address the following questions: · What article did you choose and what does this article mean? (i.e., a summary of the article in your own words) (2 marks) · Why is this article important? (2 marks) · How does this article relate/connect to the determinants of Indigenous Peoples Health? Which determinants? (2 marks) · How well is Canada doing in terms of respecting Indigenous rights and adhering to the UNDRIP article that you chose? Please give Canada a letter grade as a rating system (2 marks) You may wish to divide these questions among your group, but you should communicate to make sure that you are all on the same page as you work through the assignment requirements. D2L discussion boards or other communication aids may assist you in connecting. Please submit feel free to include references, images, and other visual aids as needed. |
