Instructions:
- Students will work in groups of FIVE (5) in creating ONE (1) video presentation (10% carrymark).
- The topic presented should be related to the topics covered in Chapter 1.
- The beginning of your video should contain your lecturer’s name, group photo with group member’s names and matric numbers, group name and your chosen topics.
- Steps before creating video:
- Define a clear purpose and outcomes for the video (refer list of topics on page 2).
- Establish team and assign project roles and responsibilities.
- Search the related materials online that fulfill the requirements on page 2.
- The duration for each video should be between 3-4 minutes (Maximum 4 minutes).
- You can develop your video using any types of tools. Below are some suggested learning tools that you may use: Camera video, GO!Animate, Present.ME, JING, FlipSnacks, PowToon, Screen-O-Matic, Videoscribe, Bitable or any suitable tools. Make sure that you use your own voice in the video.
- Once your video is ready, team leader is responsible to upload the video in YouTube channel and submit the YouTube link via portal (online learning).
Title of your Video is based on the following format: <SQQS1013><space><SEM A192>_<Group Number>_<Title of the Topic>.
Example: SQQS1013 SEM A192_1_Application of Statistics in marketing
- Marks will be given based on:
- Video Presentation – Evaluated by your lecturer (8%)
- Peer Evaluation: You will evaluate your team member (2%)

Based on your chosen topic, the following THREE (3) important information should be included in the video.
- Background of your topic
The background should briefly place the topic in a broad context and highlight why it is important. The current state of the topic should be reviewed carefully. Please highlight controversial and diverging issue when necessary, and cite any reliable source.
Let say you decide to talk about air pollution. You have to describe “what is pollution, type of pollution, the impact of pollution to the environment and human, etc. This information is obtained from website/newspaper/journal articles etc”.
- Problem
- Define the problem of the chosen topic and its significance.
In this section, you may describe about Klang Valley air pollution problem, the previous record of their haze level, crucial issue that happen to the community, impact to the economy, health (in specific), or etc.
- Next, briefly mention and highlight the main aim of the work.
We investigate the direct effect of air pollution to Klang Valey residents in terms of their daily activities….
- Describing data collection (Refer subtopic 1.3)
Explain on how to collect the information from the sample of respondents in order to solve the aforementioned problem (primary or secondary data). Identify your sample and population of study and describe your data collection techniques that suitable such as survey, interview, mail, e-mail, or etc.
