General instructions – Literature Review

• All submissions are due before 05: 00 PM on the due date online. NO HARD COPIES OR EMAILS will be accepted
• All submission should be done electrically via course website
• All assignment should be typed in New Time Romans, Font Size 12, Spaced 1.5, with 1 inch margins.

Specific Instructions: Literature Review

• Each person will write his/her own literature review on the topic that you have selected for policy analysis.
• Page limit: three without references count
• You should cite at least 20 sources
• You will use only peer reviewed journal articles. Maximum three (.org or .edu) and NONE (.com) websites are allowed.
• If you use more than three (.org or .edu) or any (.com) websites, for each citation, you will lose one point.

Please addressthefollowing issues in your literature review

1. Describe the topic, its importance, and significance? (3 points)
2. States whether your policy topic focus on a local problem, state or national (1 point)
3. Please report any numbers, statistics to better understand the magnitude of the problem (2 points)
4. Please mention any specific definitions etc. for example if you are policy paper is on homelessness, how is homelessness defined (2 points)?
5. States any policy that is currently addressing this issue (2 points)?
