Good for you! You have arrived at the FINAL portion of this online class experience. We hope that you have enjoyed the information we have provided for you and that you have learned or ‘reviewed’ some facts that you may have already been familiar with. College is a great experience and we want to make sure you are ready for the ‘ADVENTURE’. Beyond the studying, test taking and paper writing, college also has many other facets, including clubs, organizations, social gatherings, speakers, and meeting new people! Although you may not earn college credits for these activities, they are important to you as you begin to develop social and sometimes business, networks. How well have you begun the ‘networking’ process? Have you attended any additional college meetings? Are you a member of a club or organization? Have you checked out our Student Government Association? One of the difficulties of being a college student, and a non-traditional student (someone returning to school after a few years of employment, or raising a family) is the time factor. We know how difficult this can be, but I do want to stress how important it is to take advantage of opportunities for extra curricular activities and experiences. Doing this will provide you with the opportunities you need to fill up your resume with not just a ‘degree earned’ but also ‘experience’. Your final assignment is to create a 500 word essay discussing, or describing your experiences as a new college student and your ability to try new experiences, and how those experiences have influenced your ‘college experience’. This could mean you have finally found your ‘major’, a new job prospect, or just new friends. Create the essay ….. Create your essay. Be mindful of your grammar, spelling and sentence structure please! You do not have to count the words for the essay (500??) but do provide me with at least 2 full paragraphs discussing your college experience.
